At our last meeting we were pleased to welcome photographer David Moses. David showed examples of his work, many of which you can see on his Photoshelter site.
David’s fascinating talk ranged wide and touched on both literature (Sunset Song & Northern Lights) to philosophy with some technical aspects included in response to members questions. We were particularly interested to see a set of photographs ‘Crossing the Western Kingdom’ taken on a trip to Morocco with other members of the Galloway Photo Collective, especially as David had chosen to convert these to black & white. In a country of dazzling colour this was interesting and illustrative (of the photographer as artist). It would be great if a mooted exhibition of all members of the collective’s photos taken on this trip comes off.
