Season of Frosts

Having retired earlier in the year I have now got time to practice my photography, and learn more about the wildlife that surrounds us. My objective is to get better at taking images that tell the viewer something about the natural history of a scene, either behaviour or habitat of a subject. Autumn has been wonderful with fantastic colours, though I am still struggling with getting shots that give a sense of the feelings generated when looking at a beautiful tree. Now we are creeping into the season of frosts and snow I am looking forward to trying some high key images, this reed bunting was taken early one morning whilst out checking out the local patch, hoping to see the otter but as often getting distracted by something else.
