What better place to take photographs than in your own garden?. This time of year is a favourite time of mine for chasing bees and butterflies. Over recent times I have planted to attract and support them. They are presently enjoying my asters, a tallish purple aster and the tall and gaudy aster Pink Parfait. I have an especial liking for back of the border plants and several Verbena Bonariensis sway invitingly above the border, waving to passing critters. If you are thinking of planting for wildlife you may also like to try Echinops Bannaticusalbus, Astrantia Major Buckland, Scabious Goldingensis and Sedum Spectabile. The sedum is another late flowerer and is at its best right now.
